NewsFlash is another awesome Drupal theme developed by roopletheme.com. The theme is very clean and tidy, it is very suitable for newspaper publishing or magazine publishing. The layout is very flexible, and it has drop-down menu built-in. The theme is W3C CSS valid.
There is a module called "themesettingsapi" attached in the file. It is a module recommended by the designer of this theme to make theme development a lot easier to Drupal designer. Please move the "themesettingsapi" module into module directory in your Drupal, and activate it.

Content area are for the content to appear
I think what you want is to set up a "block". On the sidebar, you can't output the content. So, to achieve what you want, you need to set up a "block". The easiest way to do so is download "Views" module from drupal.org site and then create a block view of content that you want to display on the right side.

Positioning
How can I place MyBlogs in a different section other than the content area? For example I want it to appear on the right side or user1, user2 or user3. Every time I post a blog, it defaults to the main content area. How can I change that?
